Desde hace años la importancia del papel como soporte artístico está presente en su obra, y en un momento que las nuevas tecnologías de la comunicación desplazan al papel como secundario, la exposición DIRIGIR LA MIRADA hace un homenaje en pro del soporte papel donde recoge diferentes técnicas como el óleo o el acrílico.

El papel como soporte no solo le permite frescura para la experimentación y la búsqueda creativa sino también libertad de la expresión más libre. En este sentido el papel no se ha utilizado como estudio previo a una obra a realizar en un lienzo, lo que se hace sobre el papel es la obra definitiva. Trabajar sobre este soporte le lleva a una permanente búsqueda y experimentación creativa. Interesándose cómo percibimos y procesamos la información de la obra.

La línea es el argumento fundamental de estas obras, que procesa la información en la obra y sirve de guía para la mirada; como ocurre dónde miramos al hablar con alguien, que nos ayuda a comprender y entender. La línea como principio y fin en todas direcciones, que surge de lo más pequeño como es el punto que cuando está en movimiento se transforma en línea y al unirse o no crean la forma que es la figura. Aunque no es igual dibujo que forma, en estas obras si es una manera de ver la forma.

Pudiendo ser la misma línea con su grosor y texturas la que crea un área. Los planos que se formen pueden ser anchos o delgados y no representan nada, siempre son accidentales pudiendo ser geométricos o formas más libres como irregulares, pero dentro de todo ello, busca la línea guía en la composición, aquella que dirija la mirada y marque dirección.

For years, the importance of paper as an artistic medium has been present in his work, and at a time when new communication technologies are displacing paper as a secondary medium, the exhibition DIRECTING THE GAZE pays tribute to the paper medium, showcasing different techniques such as oil and acrylic.

Paper as a medium not only allows him freshness for experimentation and creative exploration, but also the freedom of the most unrestricted expression. In this sense, paper has not been used as a preliminary study for a work to be executed on canvas; what is done on paper is the final work. The line is the fundamental theme of these works, processing the information in the work and serving as a guide for the eye; just as where we look when talking to someone helps us comprehend and understand. The line as the beginning and end in all directions, emerging from the smallest thing, such as the point, which when in motion transforms into a line, and when they join or unjoin, they create the shape that is the figure. Although drawing is not the same as form, in these works it is a way of seeing form.

It can be the line itself, with its thickness and textures, that creates an area. The planes formed can be wide or thin and represent nothing; they are always accidental, and can be geometric or more free-form, like irregular shapes. But within all of this, the line seeks the guiding line in the composition, the one that directs the eye and marks direction.
